Alani Professional Hygiene is boosting its sales through sustainable labeling, in line with the latest study from the Harvard Business Review

Sustainable paper rolls

A recent study published by Harvard Business Review confirms that products featuring sustainable labels can see a 13% to 14% increase in demand in the weeks following their launch, without any changes to pricing or promotions.

In line with this trend, Alani Higiene Profesional, a company specializing in the production and manufacturing of tissue paper, has made a concerted effort to clearly highlight the certifications and sustainable features of its products, resulting in a significant improvement in sales of its coreless tissue paper line.

“Customers are looking not only for quality and efficiency, but also for products that reflect a genuine commitment to the environment. Demonstrating this in a visible and credible way is key to turning that preference into sales, says Anita Pereira, CEO of Alani.

According to the study, labels that highlight specific attributes—such as carbon neutrality, reduced emissions, or the use of recyclable materials—have the greatest influence on purchasing decisions. In Alani’s case, its labeling strategy focuses on:

  • Reduce waste: coreless paper rolls without cardboard cores.
  • Minimizing the environmental footprint: manufacturing processes that use fewer resources.
  • Visible and reliable certifications: Cradle to Cradle, PEFC, FSC, Ecolabel, EcoVadis.

This commitment to sustainability not only boosts sales but also builds customer trust by providing clear and transparent information and avoiding “greenwashing” practices.

Alani invites distributors and customers to discover how the combination of innovation and environmental responsibility can create value for both the business and the planet.
