Leading voices: the women who drive transformation at Alani Professional Hygiene

In an increasingly dynamic and demanding business environment, female leadership is consolidating as a key driver of transformation.

In this report we give voice to women who hold management positions, who share their experiences and challenges. In addition to being professionals, they are mothers who balance their work with their family, demonstrating that it is possible to grow professionally without giving up on personal life, even having to travel frequently to open up new opportunities, as is the case of Silvia Perotti and Anita Pereira.

After years at the helm of the company, Silvia has delegated the General Management to her daughter Anita, entrusting her with the task of continuing the legacy. Throughout her career, Silvia has demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit, driving the growth of Alani.

Anita Pereira (General Director), from your position at the helm of the company, how do you foster a culture that promotes female talent?

As the General Director, I understand that promoting female talent is not just a matter of diversity, but of responsibility. My commitment is to create real opportunities for growth within the organization, ensuring that women can develop, take on new challenges, and advance in their careers on equal terms.

I strongly believe in leading by example. To do this, we need to actively listen, give visibility to talent, and trust people. At Alani, we work on a culture based on meritocracy, respect, and professional development.

In addition, I am convinced that diverse teams make better decisions and are more innovative because they integrate very enriching perspectives and experiences.

Vanessa joined Alani while still in her internship period, and has since grown within the company, working in various departments. Her cross-functional knowledge of the organization and her commitment to continuous improvement make her a key player. Vanessa (Deputy Director), how does your department contribute to building a more responsible, transparent, and inclusive organization?

My career at Alani, from my first internships to the position I hold today, has allowed me to get to know every area of the company closely and understand how decisions are made. This has taught me that equality and inclusion are built day by day.

We recognize the team's performance based on merit, talent, commitment, and professional skills, leaving aside any gender factor.

At Alani, equality is a fundamental pillar and a strategic pillar, reflected every day in our culture. We are committed to a talent without labels and a space where every professional can grow and develop with the same opportunities, thereby building a more responsible, transparent, and inclusive organization.

Miriam has been part of Alani since its inception and has grown and evolved alongside the company. Her journey has not been without challenges: she works in a traditionally male-dominated sector, where she had to bring her own personality and demonstrate her ability to be heard. Miriam (Director of Logistics), what have you learned as a leader of Alani’s logistics team?

Leading a logistics team is an experience that leaves valuable lessons, because it is an environment where precision, urgency, and coordination between departments are crucial. One of the main lessons learned is that planning is fundamental, but the ability to adapt is essential. You can design the best route plan, inventory, or distribution, but unforeseen events always arise that require a quick response.

I have also verified the importance of standardizing processes. Maintaining smooth communication and having a committed team make all the difference: it is the people who truly support and advance the operation every day.

Mihaela Vlaicu (Maintenance Manager) has grown within the company, also facing traditional male roles. Her career demonstrates that talent and ability know no gender. What does it mean for you to break through and prove that talent has no gender in areas such as maintenance and production?

Taking on new challenges has always been an opportunity for growth. Over the years, I have faced complex situations and worked with determination to prove that, with effort and perseverance, it is possible to achieve any goal. For a long time, I was the only woman in production, which posed an added challenge but also motivated me.

In my new role, I continue to face important challenges, learning every day and working to consolidate the necessary changes. I know that the path requires perseverance, but I am convinced that, step by step, the results will come thanks to well-done work and the support of the team.
